Notice to All Applicants Applying for Debit Approval through Unit 01
This is further to the web notice published on 22.06.2026 regarding the declaration of approved sample allowances as separate items in debit applications.
The Department has now completed the development of the electronic debiting process of the Stratlink system to facilitate the automated processing of approved sample items through the ASYCUDA System.
Accordingly, with effect from 1st of October 2026, approved sample items declared separately in debit applications will be automatically greened through the ASYCUDA System and will not be debited from the approved license value.
The corresponding commercial items will continue to be debited from the approved license value in the usual manner.
Applicants requesting sample allowances are therefore required to continue to declare the approved sample value as a separate item in their debit applications, in order to facilitate the automatic processing and greening of such sample items.
All importers are kindly requested to ensure that the value of samples provided is maintained at 10% of the value of each individual medicine, while the total value of samples represents 10% of the overall consignment.
Please note that failure to comply with this requirement may result in the rejection of the entire consignment.
This automated process is introduced to streamline the processing of approved sample items and minimize manual intervention in the debiting process.
